|A Commissioning & Service Engineer is employed to work at clients' sites, where they are responsible for commissioning and overseeing the installation of new equipment and servicing of existing machinery.|
The Job will involve regular travel around UK and Ireland, with additional international work when required along with attendance at Cama's factory in Northern Italy for additional training, customer visits and machine acceptance trials.
The Commissioning & Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the Cama packaging machines and robotic systems work properly and that they meet the client's needs.
1)Adhere to safe working practices for safety / environmental requirements 2)Organize and manage the activities of partners / colleagues (mechanical & electrical) and cooperating with clients project managers.
3)Monitor the plant efficiency providing an accurate analysis of any problems 4)Suggesting / recommending improvements / modifications to sort out possible issues and meet performance specification 5)Readying machines for a positive SAT result.
6)New Equipment Installation Tasks
a.Supervision of offloading
b.Machine assembly - mechanical and pneumatic re-connection ensuring the correct execution of the job, providing mounting/cabling of electric auxiliaries (photocells, sensors) c.Machine testing, commissioning and production cover d.Performance of site acceptance test 7)Legacy Equipment Service Tasks:- a.Suggest improvements or modification of technical drawings (from single part to complete assembly) b.Implement new formats and/or Size Changes c.Fault find performance issues d.Perform scheduled service interventions 8)Provide basic training to customers 9)Provide leadership to ensure exemplar behavior of all Cama technicians at customers' site during installations.
10)Complete necessary paperwork including Risk Assessments/Method Statements/timesheets/visit reports/expenses etc.
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIP
Cooperate with CAMA 1 Service department in Italy and provide direct interface with customers during the entire life cycle of their equipment.

•Experience of PLC/HMI programming, fault finding and interrogation •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills •The ability to work well under pressure •Able to work as part of team to achieve set goals •Good ICT skills including reading CAD drawings (mech/elec/pneumatic) •Good organizational skills - ability to set priorities and objectives •Problem solving and analytical skills •The ability to cope with shift work and unsocial hours (weekends), when required to support a 24/7 hour operation •Commercial awareness
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR THE ROLE
Technical engineering diploma/degree or time served apprentice Minimum experience of 5 years in equipment installations or equivalent job Experience of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens based control systems (Preferably both) Available to travel (fly) abroad.
