|Piper Recruitment has a requirement for a Panel Wireman with experience of Special Purpose / Packaging Machinery to join a Manchester based market leader in the packaging machine sector.|
Salary: 21000 220000 per annum plus overtime. Excellent Benefits package
The ideal Panel Wireman / Electrical Machine Builder will be based within a commutable distance of Salford, Manchester, and preferably have experience of packaging machinery but other machinery / industrial automation will also be considered as long as you can demonstrate Wiring, Installation and Electrical troubleshooting skills.
Have a working knowledge of 3 phase voltage and BS7671-2018 Able to work from schematics/engineering drawings
The successful Panel Wireman / Electrical Machine Build Technician will be required to:
Wire machines in accordance with industry standards with efficient and effective use of time.
Accurately and systematically troubleshoot during the machine build and set up to determine the cause of the problem and present or implement workable solutions.
Assists Engineering with workable solutions to wiring problems that inhibit build or performance of a machine.
Effectively document any wiring that is modified with an explanation of any changes/modifications etc.
Work the time necessary to meet the needs of the business and advise direct Leader if any overtime is required.
Perform electrical safety checks at pre-switch on and final electrical checks prior to shipment.
Use accepted safety procedures and precautions in the process of machine building and testing etc.
Communicate progress daily with your direct Leader.
Communicate daily with Engineering as required.
Attend Assembly Start Meetings for assigned machines.
Assist with the unloading and loading of machines and goods.
Other duties as requested by your direct Leader.
Keep production area and individual area clean, neat and organized to allow efficient production.
Maintan a tour ready appearance in the production area.
