FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - Scotland
The applicant for this position should have an electromechanical background, be fully conversant with modern electronic systems and have the ability to fault find down to component level.
You will be able to demonstrate an ability to read and understand engineering drawings along with electrical drawings, to aid in fault finding and functionality.
As our systems are computer based, a good understanding of PCs is essential and any experience on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) would be a distinct advantage. Applicants should ideally also have grounding in light mechanics and pneumatics, however, some training will be given in these areas.
Due to an every increasing customer base in Scotland, this position is for a Field Service Engineer ideally based around the south side of Glasgow. This allows easy travel to our customers in Scotland and also allows occasionally covering the North of England and Ireland. This daily variation particularly suits those who enjoy meeting different people, viewing different factories and processes rather than fixed inside at the same place of work each day.
* To carry out commissioning / installation / servicing and repairs to our machinery at our clients sites
* To provide onsite training covering the maintenance and operation of our machines * To provide product improvement and new machine sales opportunity feedback * To communicate effectively with your colleagues in field service planning, commercial and engineering departments * To be able to deal confidently and professionally with customer personnel on site * To report accurately and on a timely basis on all service visits, with accountability for van stocks of components and spare parts * To account accurately and on a timely basis for expenses incurred
A Non-contributory Pension and private health (after a period of two years employment) are available.
